WHAT IF MY BABY IS ALREADY OLDER THAN 2 WEEKS?

Reach out... I photograph newborns up to about 6 weeks old. What changes is the sleepiness. Those deeply curled, settled-into-themselves portraits happen most reliably in the first two weeks, and past that I can't guarantee we'll get them. Your baby may be awake for most of the session, which makes for beautiful images of a different kind, just not the sleepy ones most people picture. That's the whole reason I aim for those first two weeks whenever we can.

DO YOU POSE NEWBORNS?

No. My approach is baby-led, close to the opposite of a traditional newborn session... no froggy poses, buckets, or props. My style is fine art and naturally driven, so instead of working toward a shot and waiting for your baby to cooperate, we go at their pace. If they need changing, we change them. If they're hungry, you give them a full feeding... not a quick top-up to get through a few more frames, a real one, until they're done. It's the gentler way to photograph a newborn, and every baby in my portfolio was simply allowed to be exactly as they were that day.

HOW LONG IS A NEWBORN SESSION?

Newborn sessions at my Las Vegas studio are up to 3 hours. Some finish sooner and some run a little longer, because the pace is set by your baby rather than a clock. That length is intentional... it leaves room to feed, change, and settle without anyone rushing, which is what keeps the session calm.

WHAT IF MY BABY CRIES AND WONT SLEEP THE WHOLE TIME?

That's completely normal, and it doesn't ruin anything. I plan for up to 3 hours, but I don't hold my newborn sessions to a clock... some are shorter, some run a little longer, because we go entirely at your baby's pace. That time exists so we can stop for feeding, changing, and soothing as many times as they need. There's no shot we're chasing, so there's nothing to lose when we pause.

WHAT DO I WEAR TO, AND WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING?

Almost nothing you need to plan. Everything you and your baby wear is already in the studio: 50+ gowns for mom, and a full collection of newborn wraps, bonnets, and layers. All you need to bring is a set of nude or neutral undergarments for yourself, and a pair of pants for dad. I'll plan  the rest from the studio wardrobe collection. No shopping, no coordinating, no wondering whether it all works together.

CAN MY PARTNER AND OTHER CHILDREN BE IN THE PHOTOS?

Yes. The Signature session includes you, your partner, and older siblings alongside your baby, and it's what most families choose, it captures the newborn stage and updated portraits of your whole family in one morning. The studio wardrobe carries coordinating pieces for little ones up to size 5T. If your older child wears larger than a 5T, mention it in your inquiry and I'll do the searching for you — I'll send direct links to pieces that work with everyone else's looks, so all you have to do is click and order.

DO YOU PHOTOGRAPH NEWBORN TWINS?

Yes, and I love twin sessions. The only real difference is time, with 2 babies to feed and settle, we simply go longer, and I build that in when I schedule you. There's never a moment where one baby is waiting on the other. I also don't charge extra for twins. Some photographers do; the session fee is the same either way.

WHAT IF MY BABY WAS BORN EARLY, OR WE'RE STILL IN THE NICU?

Just tell me where you are. Your date stays yours, and we'll photograph once you're home and settled. There's no deadline from my end and no cost to move things... your baby needing more time is never a problem.

WHAT DOES A NEWBORN SESSION COST IN LAS VEGAS?

Newborn sessions are booked as the Signature Session, $395 — it's the only session designed for a newborn, because these need the full three hours and room for your whole family. That fee reserves your date and covers your session time, full use of the studio wardrobe, and my editing. Artwork and digital files are chosen separately at your design and ordering appointment, where most clients invest between $2,500 and $5,000, with a $1,500 minimum.
